Asia Weather update Autumn 2024.

In todays Asia Weather update weather charts at surface and 500mb and other data for east asia/asia have revealed that for the Asian Autumn 2024 time:

East Asia: from around the 20th of Sept 2024 for a few days there is a weaker form of low pressure in the South of China/South China seas also affecting the philipinnes that will be reinforced by a MJO pulse soon. The East Asian Trough is displaced to the slight north of hong kong and weaker whilst north east at the Korea peninsula there is the outflow area from the EAT. In the areas of North/Yellow seas today Sept 21st 2024 sit the customary EAT high pressure regions for this type of pattern in the third section of Sept 2024. The EAT can quickly materialise and strengthen in the space of 1-3 days so past the 20th of Sept this took place with the standard sign of rainfall along the EAT regions of Asia @ North South China seas.

Over Japan around the 20th of Sept 2024 for a few days a low pressure system remains drifting north east from Tokyo (The shanghai system). Near the entrance too the Yellow seas a tropical disturbance will affect the Shanghai region near today 21st Sept 2024 then drift towards the south korean peninsula (Busan) and tokyo from around the 20th of Sept 2024 to 21st sept 2024 Zulu Time.

Rest of Asia: The Indian Dipole for the third section of sept 2024 sits at Neutral so the wide swath of seas in the Dipole area are neither warm nor cool in the area of effects (East Africa Waters - West Sumatra). The Indonesia/West Maritime continents are 6 weeks off entering into there Winter Monsoon section for the second winter of 2024. The ENSO sits at neutral for this time of the year but in a mimiced La-Nina like behaviour. The MJO has just undergone a strong pulse that arrived in the Maritime continent around the middle of Sept 2024 then around the 23rd of Sept 2024 forecasted to strengthen in the West Pacific this corresponds to our charts that show lifted precipitation in the North/North West waters of the Philipinnes, may bring thunderstorms to Hong Kong around third weekend of sept 2024.
