On the 10th Feb 2022 the system Dovi sprang into existance in the South East Vanuatu/South East New Caledonia channel.

From the 12th Feb 2022 Dovi is forecast to transform to a level 2 to 3 saffir simpson Cyclone in the North Tasman seas regions with sustained winds of 140kmph at surface gusts an additional 15-20 percent.

The final track of dovi is forecast to lead to the North West waters of NZ by Sunday 13th Feb 2022 as a tropical storm where upper level wind shear (just) and slightly cooler waters will weaken the system.
